June Yin Yoga Series

Join this 3 week series of yin yoga to target the deeper tissues of our liganments, joints, & deep fascial networks.  In addition to the physical benefits, the practice of yin yoga is designed to build awareness, non-attachment, and contentment.  Each week of the series will have a slightly different focus.  Postures in yin yoga are generally lower to the ground and held between 1-5 minutes; while there is not dynamic movement that you see in vinyasa classes, yin yoga is not the same thing as restorative yoga; indeed, much of the benefit of this practice is from staying in the 'zone of discomfort.'
