Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga targets the deeper tissues of our ligaments, joints, & deep fascial networks.  In addition to the physical benefits, the practice of Yin Yoga is designed to build awareness, non-attachment, and contentment. Each week has a slightly different focus.  Postures in Yin Yoga are generally lower to the ground and held between 1-5 minutes; while there is not dynamic movement that you see in Vinyasa classes, Yin Yoga is not the same thing as Restorative Yoga; indeed, much of the benefit of this practice is from staying in the 'zone of discomfort.'
